As well she liked Illustrations very much; she started doing editorial illustrations for magazines. After finished her graduation in the late-90s, Catalina continued her freelancing illustration project and also launched on into her career as a graphic designer.
Then Catalina planned to disconnect doing graphic designs because of getting tired in searching clients. She felt that it was not as nice working for other people by sitting in front of computer for millions of hours, especially in Colombia where there we never wish the cost for our project.
After then she moved to Paris in 1998 where she choose to learn a six-month language course. Although the purpose was to study French, she soon start loving ART which she could not be controlled and in progress drawing again. Catalina’s converted interest encouraged her to return back to Barcelona in 1999.
She feels very lucky to begin working for club nights. She has been worked with blast of colors. She was doing illustration mixed work with graphic designs which are really awesome!
Catalina is still captivated with art. She got authority to produce her design samples in exhibition. This first show awarded Catalina the chance to demonstrate her unique mode. As well as presenting her work, she decorated the walls with paint, beautiful wallpaper and wall painting to beat her character on the area.
Catalina was then capable to go to other galleries with snaps of her fine demonstrate in hand and influence them to create platform for her works. This advanced interest has resulted in presentations at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York, Iguapop in Barcelona.
Catalina loves both art and illustration; Catalina considers herself as both artist and an illustrator, she says that “Art is refreshing. Illustration is her source for living”.
